Voke Ogueh is a nationally recognized PAEMST Educator with over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics and Computer Science in Houston-area high schools, including Hightower, George Bush, and Hastings. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin and an M.S. in Pure and Applied Mathematics from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Guided by her faith and deep sense of gratitude, Voke believes that gratitude opens doors and that building strong relationships is the key to making a lasting impact. She sees education as an opportunity to give back the grace that has been shown to her, fostering an environment where students feel seen, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Passionate about expanding access to Computer Science education, Voke earned her CS certification through WeTeach_CS and has actively engaged in professional cohorts such as IFML, continuously enhancing her expertise to inspire students and increase CS participation in schools.
Her dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including Amazon Future Engineer Teacher of the Year, NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Affiliate Winner, CSTA Greater Houston Teacher of the Year, PAEMST State Finalist, and National PAEMST Awardee. She was also selected as a NASA Virtual Crew Member for the Artemis mission to the moon.
Beyond the classroom, Voke is the co-founder of Waado, a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring underrepresented communities, including initiatives in Africa. She currently works at a startup as a Digital Education Lead, mentoring new interns and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
