About me
Elizabeth White is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and is an Andrew Carnegie Scholar for the School of Design. She spent 13 years as a software and UI experience designer for several software companies and then made a career switch to teaching.
She currently teaches 1st-12th grade STEM classes at a rural, Title 1 school, where her students specialize in microcontrollers and physical computing. She is firm in her belief that every child in the 21st century should be taught to code and has witnessed firsthand how a career in STEM can break the cycle of generational poverty.
Elizabeth was a member of the TEA Committee to write the 2025 Engineering CTE TEKS, the 2023 Texas Gifted and Talented Teacher of the Year, and the 2025 East Texas State Fair Academic Rodeo Educator of the Year.
