About me
Derrick Tucker received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2004 and pursued graduate study in Physics at the University of Texas at Austin. Derrick taught science and mathematics from 2011-2021, the last 6 years of which were at Akins High School in Austin ISD. During this time he learned about OnRamps from a teacher’s perspective as a high school instructor for OnRamps Chemistry. Derrick also taught and helped develop a first-of-its-kind high school course in Quantum Computing while at Akins before moving to OnRamps to serve as Course Coordinator for OnRamps Quantum Technologies.
