About me
Amin received his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Tyler and his Masters of Art from the University of Texas at Austin. Both B.S. and Masters are in Mathematics; minor emphasis in Education. Amin has been an educator for the past 22 years. He has taught High School Math in Palestine High School and Taylor High School. At Taylor High School, he was promoted to be the department head in his second year. Also, he was responsible for mentoring newly hired Math teachers on his campus. In 2009, Amin became a Mathematics consultant for Region 10 and was responsible for supporting all Districts/Charter Schools within Region 10. Currently, he is a clinical professor within the UTeach Dallas program that prepares future STEM educators. Furthermore, he has been a T3 (Teachers Teaching with Technology) instructor and does consulting work for Texas Instruments to support Districts that are trying to implement TI technology on their campus. He also works with WeTeach_CS to help increase the number of CS teachers locally and nationally. Finally, he holds State of Texas professional-Standard Teaching Certificate for Mathematics & Computer Science for Grades 8 – 12.
